What to do...what to do... From Medrith L.

With everyone at my house finally getting over their summer ends' colds...we find ourselves experiencing cabin fever and getting annoyed with each other. So, what do you do when things get frustrating like that?? I tell you what we did...we went outside yesterday and played with water balloons and the hose!! Talk about soaking wet!! But, man, what a good way to blow off steam!!

That sounds like a blast! The weather here lately has been awesome...except the mornings! But the nice weather in the am is perfect walking/jogging weather! We spent most of the day at the park and on bikes!!! Water balloons are so much fun

My kids got their school pictures taken a few weeks ago...I got the pictures for the teen back, and needless to say, Handsome, with hair issues. Again. I'm still waiting to get the pictures in for the 4 year old...But, we shall see how they turned out soon enough.

I know I haven't been on in a while...that is what college can do to you when you have a tot and a teen, and both are heavily involved in activities galore!! Wow!

Anyway, we are suffering from allergies. Not as much since this last rain. :) But we have not gone out to play at the park or the zoo in quite some time. I'm looking forward to this bright weather we are having.

With all the classes and activities picking up again, I am sure that I will be yet again distracted from using my online resources. I appreciate your patience with me, and if you email me, I will email you back!!

I love to do things with my family, and have friends to accompany us! We love to do things all around town, and prefer things that don't cost much (or are free!). So, if you hear of a new or interesting outing that is family friendly, just shoot me a line to let me know, and I will try my best to keep this page updated!!

I was thinking that if you guys wanted to introduce yourselves, that would be a wonderful way of getting to know one another.

My name is Medrith. I have lived in SA for almost 20 years. I have a 4 year old with Sensory Processing Disorder and a very gifted 14 year old. I have been married for 15 years. I am a student at A&M trying to get my Bachelor's in Sociology. After that, I plan to finish my Bachelor's in Fine Art. Then I eventually want to become an Art Therapist.

I like rock, rockabilly, pop, some rap and country (though not much). I love to read. I love arts and crafts. And I love to do fun things with my kids around town.

So, just let me know who you are and what your hobbies are! :) Have fun! I am looking forward to getting to know you!!

Hi Medrith! My name is Jennifer..I have 2 daughters ages 4 & 6 in a week! I just moved to San Antonio with my husband of 5 years.
We just moved here from Virginia. My husband is in the Navy and we are here for 4 years! I just started school for my associates in Accounting! I love crafting and scrapbooking...its the best! I love going for walks/jogs every morning!!!

It's nice to meet you! You are originally from VA? Tell about that! Sounds like fun! Your husband is in the Navy? Cool. My dad is reitred Air Force, and my husband's father was a vet of the Army. :) Do you live in base housing or you have your own place? What area of town are you in? Close to Lackland? By Randolph? Ft. Sam? I don't know where Navy congragates...

Two girls sounds like a handful! Especially that close together! I bet they keep you on your toes.

I don't jog, as I have a really bad knee, but I LOVE to walk. However, b/c I am not really what you would consider a "morning person," I end up coming home and doing chores or running my regular errands in the morning. (Except during the summer when I have to get out before it gets too hot, or else use my treadmill.)

I love Scrapbooking too. Although with school and the boys, I rarely get a chance to do much of that. We are just too busy sometimes. During the summer vacations, I try to work on a project or two...but, well, you know. :)

Spring break is upon us! From JENNIFER H.

Spring break is basically here! My kids are pretty excited...Im a little less excited..this means Ill be cleaning all day, doing more dishes anddoing more laundry. On the plus, more time with my lil ladies! Do yall have any plans? We plan to soak up some sun as much as possible. Bikes, parks, scooters, walks and maybe some sea world!

We don't have any real plans for Spring Break (for the first time in something like 8 years...). :) We are dog-sitting for a friend, so we will be walking them once in the morning, and once in the evening. My oldest has some Boy Scout stuff to attend to. We will be working on the back patio (that has taken wayyyy tooooo long to complete as it is!). Other than that, we don't have any plans.

Maybe we could get together sometime during the break! My zoo passes expire at the end of the month, so I want to try to get some more use out of them before then. Do you have any perferable time or day?? Just let me know!!

I'd give anything for a patio in the backyard!! Not that I want to build one though ;) Most definitely! We havent been to the zoo yet, I hear its a pretty good one though! Other than dance and a party tomorrow, we dont have any concrete plans for this week. Any time! As long as they are fed and rested, they are good. Although, it's cooler in the AM usually so that might be a better time so they arent all hot walking around?!?!
