My name is Amy, and I am mom to surviving triplets, Julia and Gabrielle, who turned 2 in February. Julia has cerebral palsy, while Gabrielle is your "typical" toddler. Julia has poor head control, so she still cannot sit up unassisted except for very, very short periods of time. She cannot walk and she cannot crawl, though she is starting to commando crawl.
What she can do is laugh at her sister, play with her babies, try to eat the crayons, scream happily for more peaches, demand to watch Elmo videos and smile so big it lights up the room.
My goal for this group is to allow parents of kids with different needs - whether they use a wheelchair, communicate through electronic devices, or have other "quirks" that the general public doesn't always get - to come together for support and play dates, both for us as parents and all of our kids, differently abled or not.
