Hello Everyone! My name is Jamie and my family and I have lived in Topeka for about a year and a half. We are looking to make friends and connect with other parents our child's age (9 months as of August 2010). Please take a few moments to introduce yourself.

Hey! My name is Michelle. I have been in Topeka most of my life so this is home. I have an almost 2 year old boy and I am just looking for stuff outside of the house for him to do. He doesn't go to daycare so he does not get any interaction with other kids. We are going to start going to all the little stuff they have at the library just so he can get out of the house. He just needs something so then hes not bored out of his mind at home.

Hi Michelle,

That's great that you're going to get him involved with the library stuff. I wish I could afford to stay home with our daughter, but I think she really benefits from being around the other kids at daycare. Let me know if you want to get together sometime. My daughter is just learning how to stand on her own but she's a little zoomer when she's crawling around. We live in College Hill, but I'd be willing to go wherever in Topeka. Weekends are best since I'm starting in school again for Fall semester soon.

My availability is in the early evenings (between 4pm and 6pm) on weeknights and anytime on the weekends (with the exception of naptimes of course!). I live in the College Hill area so Boswell Park would be the best location for me.

My 2 year old daughter Kelsey and I are always up for a playdate anytime during most days (monday mornings before 11 are the only exception) and weekends. I live in the Lake Shawnee area but travel as far as Kansas City at least once a month to take my daughter to Little Monkey Bizness. Road trips are fine with us.
